Land Trust Alliance Probably the single best source for land trust and general conservation topics with excellent links to key public and private home pages. There are links to national groups like the National Audubon Society, Sierra Club etc., as well as Federal agencies concerned with environmental and resource matters.

CREW Land & Water Trust - Ft. Myers  CREW Land & Water Trust an Estero based educational and conservation organization with an active hiking program and trail network.

Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center Referred to as "CHEC" and located in Punta Gorda, has a good educational program and excellent trails.

Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program This site has all you ever wanted to know about Charlotte Harbor. Also the CHNEP Resource Center  has a free downloadable program called ArcExplorer which allows one to download computerized GIS maps.

Mote Marine Laboratory  This Sarasota group has a research program on Pine Island.  Their site has an hour's worth of reading and their links page is outstanding.
